Clipper Ranger currently operates the Dublin - Liverpool route as the third vessel alongside Seatruck Power and Seatruck Progress. Built in 2008 by Astilleros de Huelva, Spain as Lembitu for the Estonian Shipping Company however on completion the vessel was chartered to P&O for their Dublin - Liverpool route. Later the vessel was chartered to Dart Line and in 1999 renamed Dart 7. Another charter followed on the Med under the name Lembitu again. The vessel in 2000 was chartered once again to P&O Irish Sea and this time ran their Dublin-Liverpool service under the name Celtic Sun. Between 2001 and 2005 she was chartered by Scandlines, Channel Freight Ferries and Norse Merchant Ferries. In 2005 the vessel was renamed RR Challenge and Chartered to Seatruck Ferries. 2007 saw the vessel sold to Attica Group and the name changed to Challenge. In 2008 Seatruck Ferries purchased the vessel and renamed her Clipper Ranger and continued to operate on routes across the Irish Sea. In 2010 the vessel operated a Larne - Heysham service for Seatruck Ferries which never lasted long. Caledonian MacBrayne chartered the vessel to provide freight support on their Outer Hebrides service, the chartered ended in 2015. Since then the vessel has continued to operate on various Seatruck services on the Irish Sea.
