European Seaway

Norbay operates the Dublin - Liverpool service for P&O Ferries alongside sister vessel Norbank and the European Endeavour.  Built for North Sea Ferries the vessel operated the Hull - Rotterdam route. In 2002 Norbay along with sister vessel Norbank transfered to P&O Irish Sea and took up service on the Dublin - Liverpool route operating back to back. In recent years the Norbay has provided refit cover for P&O's Larne - Cairnryan vessels, the vessel also completed berthing trials at Troon in 2011. To date it is the largest vessel ever to have visited Troon.

European Seaway normally operates as a freight only vessel on the Dover - Calais service for P&O Ferries. Built for P&O European Ferries the vessel was one of four ordered in the same class. The European Seaway however remains the only vessel in this class to not be changed from its original planned intention of being a freighter. European Highway and European Pathway both sisters were converted to RoPax vessels now known as Pride of Kent and Pride of Canterbury. Other sister Pride of Burgundy was delivered with an altered design. European Seaway has been almost entirely serving as the freight vessel on the Dover - Calais service since her build however has spent two periods of time support offshore wind farm projects. Today the vessel as acts as the relief vessel for P&O's North Channel sisters European Causeway and European Highlander. She first visited the route between Larne and Cairnryan back in 2017 and due to her success has returned in 2019 to cover refit periods for both vessels. As a result of the downturn in travel and freight globally due to COVID-19 pandemic the European Seaway was laid up at Tilbury. P&O Ferries at present plan to permanently remove the European Seaway from service and therefore the future of the vessel is uncertain. European Seaway has since been relocated to the River Fal, near Falmouth awaiting its future.
