European Highlander departs H&W Belfast

01-05-16

At Approx 1910 this evening the P&O Ferries vessel European Highlander let go and sailed out of the dock at H&W Belfast following a brief dry dock period. The vessel proceeded astern into the turning circle before making a port swing and up the Victoria Channel behind the departing Stena Superfast VIII. European Highlander proceeded up Belfast Lough and dropped off the Pilot to the awaiting Pilot Boat Captain Michael Evans. The European Highlander passed to the North of the Fairway buoy before setting course for Larne. Following arrival into Larne the European Highlander is expected to resume service alongside sister vessel European Causeway with the 2300 service to Cairnryan.
