Stena Performer

Stena Performer currently operates as the third vessel on the Belfast - Birkenhead service for Stena Line providing extra coverage for unaccompanied traffic. Built in 2012 by FSG, Germany for Seatruck Ferries as Seatruck Performance the vessel was purpose built for service out of Heysham Port. Due to its size and tidal restrictions Seatruck Ferries had 4 ships specifically designed to operate out of the port. In September 2012 the vessel was chartered to Stena Line and renamed Stena Performer to operate their freight service from Belfast to Heysham. In 2013 Stena Line announced plans to operate a third vessel on the Belfast - Birkenhead route to provide freight only support to Stena Lagan and Stena Mersey. Originally Stena Hibernia provided this service however more recently Stena Performer has swapped with Stena Hibernia taken up the Belfast - Birkenhead role.
